Restoring Coral Reefs: Transmed’sPartnership with Azraq.orgCoral reefs are the most densely biodiverseecosystems on the planet, covering less than 1%of the ocean floor yet providing a home forover 25% of all marine life. They play a crucialrole in protecting coastlines from erosion,maintaining ocean health and sustaining marinespecies. However, 90% of Coral Reefs coulddisappear by 2050 due to increased oceantemperature, pollution and ocean acidification.To support marine conservation, Transmedpartnered with Azraq.org to plant 30 coral reefsin Fujairah, Dibba. To further raise awareness onthe topic, an engaging session with Azraq.orgvolunteers was conducted in Transmed UAEoffices end of February, providing informationon the importance of coral reefs and how wecan help protect them.
